Sahara Challenge Game
The world's second largest desert after Antarctica (yes, really) the Sahara Desert is encroaching southwards at an average rate of 38 miles per year. Currently covering 4.9 billion hectares of the earth's surface, the Sahara Desert holds the record for the highest temperature ever recorded
in the shade, some 58°C in Libya although an astonishing 45°C is average in
many areas of the desert; a temperature high enough to kill off many forms of bacteria.
